Communicating with TES

We use REMIND as our primary communication tool with families. This tool will enable you to see the School Story and Classroom Story, and it will also allow direct messaging with your child’s teacher. Mrs. Cleary makes weekly Messenger calls and emails on Sunday evenings between 5 pm and 7 pm with information and events for the upcoming week. Classroom teachers often post assignments and reminders on REMIND.

Each classroom teacher will send home and post to our school website a monthly newsletter with academics to be covered for the month, the topics of Character Strong (our SEL core program) for the month, and helpful tips on ways you can support your child in Building Brighter Futures. We will share information on our official TES Facebook page, Traphill Elementary School.

Classroom teachers will communicate via phone, email, REMIND, and in person on Traphill Elementary’s Campus. In special circumstances, the administrator and other staff members will make home visits if numbers or emails on file are non-working. Our events are also advertised by paper copies of flyers sent home, on our website, and are listed on our school sign.

We ask that parents are mindful that teachers’ official work hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm each day. We advise staff to use “quiet hours'' in REMIND, so you may not get an immediate response to messages sent outside of working hours.  Please respect those time boundaries and try to communicate during the working hours or shortly thereafter..
